When a sloka is said with the rays of sunlight and moon shine, the soul gets mooksha without any rebirth .Atma njanis(the Spokesman of god) ,Yogis who conducts yajnas and Devas have the power to control all sort of planets and stars. The pralayam(the disappearance)- the cause for the arrival and existence of the nature (world) are described through a number of slokas in Vedas. It is said that the rays of the sun reaches the three worlds such as earth, heaven and hell and gives us energy.
Using these measures Chanda Shasthra is considered as the legs of Vedas, Vyakarana Shasthra as the face and Jyothi Shasthra (Astrology) considered as the eyes. Through the tiny eyes (pupil), it is possible to see much bigger things. So eyes are considered as the most powerful sense organ. Likewise, astrology is considered as eyes because it helps to observe the Vedas.
The solkas are written in Sanskrit (Deva Bhasha). So the knowledge of Sanskrit is essential to understand the slokas. Besides the academic studies, it is necessary to have a hereditary heritage for an astrologer to predict the truths firmly. To deal with devaprasnam ie ashtamanaglyam, thamboola prasnam, temporary prasnam etc the above mentioned matters are inevitable.
